Lights, Camera, Action!

Nowadays, it seems like movies are everywhere we go. People love movies. They keep them occupied and entertained for about 2 hours. Movies have been around since 1878. Edward Muybridge created the first Cinematic film “The Horse in Motion”. Ever since then the movie industry blew up! Movies have gotten better and better every year. With new technology people can create more realistic animation. What movies are coming up for the rest of 2016 and 2017? Lets take a look:

Kid/Family: If you are looking for a movie that the whole family can watch usually this category is the best pick. Walt Disney pretty much created the Kid/Family genre, starting with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; then adding another company with it, Pixar. Speaking of Disney/Pixar; they are coming out with a new Disney Princess, Moana, on November 23rd, 2016. It is about a Polynesian princess who goes on an adventure with a demi-god (Maui) across the ocean. They (Disney) are also coming out with two more movies: Gigantic, coming out in 2018 and The Incredibles 2, which will be released in 2019.
Harry Potter is also one of the most popular and loved movie series out there. J.K. Rowling wrote all books, and also wrote another book called “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. They are now making a movie out of that book. So, for all you “Potterheads” the movie for that will be released on November 18th, 2016.
Some other films for this genre that will be released soon are; Trolls (out on November 4th 2016), Storks (out on September 23rd 2016) and The Power Rangers (out of March 24th 2017).

Horror: This spine chilling genre is surprisingly a huge hit. People who love horror movies will be ecstatic about these upcoming movies. But first, there are a lot of sequels coming out, such as: The Strangers 2, which will be out on December 2nd, 2016. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, that movie will be out on January 27th, 2017. Jeepers Creepers 3, which does not have a set date for the release of that movie, but it is supposed to be out in 2017. Annabelle 2 will be out on May 19th, 2017. And finally, “World War Z 2”, which will be released on June 9th, 2017. Before you see those films, it is highly recommended to watch the original films first.
Now onto the new horror movies:
• “The Disappointment Room”, a move from New York to a quiet Country-house seems great only to realize that maybe the city wasn’t so bad after all. It is basically about another haunted house that does not want to be messed with. That movie is already out in theatres.
• “Tell Me How I Die”, is about typical college students who are having fun partying and being in college away from home and parents, until a serial killer comes and (one-by-one) gives the students some drugs to show them how they are murdered. That movie has also already been released and now in theatres.
• “Ouija: Origin of Evil”, its common snese to know that Ouija boards are something not the mess with. But a Séance scam leads to a daughter being possessed. That will be out on October 21st, 2016.

Comedy: A good laugh is necessary for everyone every once in a while. Some good facetious comedy movies that are coming out are:
• “Bridget Jones’s Baby”, right after Bridget (Renee Zellweger) feels like she is back on her feet she is knocked down by getting knocked up. She is 40 and pregnant, and to make things better she does not know who the father is; her ex-husband or new boyfriend? That movie is out and ready to see in theatres.
• “Masterminds”, David Ghantt (Zach Galifianakis) gets pulled into a scheme of stealing $17 million dollars. To follow his journey of that, the movie will be released on September 30th, 2016.
• “Kevin Hart: Now What?”, this is more of a documentary, but also in the comedy genre. Comedian Kevin Hart performs a stand up routine in front of thousands of people. That will be released on October 14th, 2016.

There are many more genres of movies that are coming out but this was just a quick glimpse for what is yet to come. Now you know about the Family, Comedy, and Horror movies that will come out either this year or next year. So, which movie do you want to see the most?
