NFL+RECAP%3A+WEEK+2

The first two weeks of the NFL season have been filled with unforgettable moments.  Here are the biggest stories from week 2.

The Carolina Panthers’ Cam Newton passed for 353 yards and four touchdowns in the Panthers home opener, winning 46-27 over the 49ers.

The Minnesota Vikings stunned the Green Bay Packers 17-14 in the Vikings first game at US Bank Stadium.  Filling in for the injured Teddy Bridgewater, who is out for the season, Sam Bradford passed for 286 yards and two touchdowns.  HB Adrian Peterson ran for 19 yards on 12 carries, and left the field because of a knee injury.  He will have surgery, and hopes to be back for the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Rams, in their first home game since returning to Los Angeles, stunned the Seattle Seahawks 9-3.  Case Keenum passed for 239 yards, while Russell Wilson passed for 254 yards.  Greg Zuerlein kicked 3 field goals, with a long of 47, to put the only points the Rams had on the board.

The San Diego Chargers suffered another huge loss as Danny Woodhead went down with a torn ACL in the Chargers 38-14 rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Keenan Allen went down in week 1 with the same injury, and both players are out for the year.  Melvin Gordon will start at HB in the Chargers week 3 game at Indianapolis, on CBS at 4:25 ET.
