The playoff race is getting more intense, and one team has clinched a playoff berth.  Here is a recap of the action from week 13.

The Dallas Cowboys now know that they will be alive in the postseason.   After a 17-15 victory over the Vikings on Thursday Night at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the Cowboys have now increased the franchise record for most consecutive wins, with 11 straight.  The Cowboys are now 11-1.  The Cowboys have insisted that they will not rest the starters, even if they clinch home-field advantage.  On 105.3 TheFan, team owner Jerry Jones said,  “I see us more as business as usual.”

The Seattle Seahawks won again, beating the Panthers 40-7 on Sunday Night to improve to 8-3-1.  Safety Earl Thomas was injured on Sunday and is out for the season.  A tweet he posted suggesting a possible retirement, saying “This game has been so good to me no regrets.. A lot is running through my mind including retirement thanks for all the prayers.”  For the Panthers, they are now 4-8, and nothing is going right.  Cam Newton is not playing smart, the running backs are old and terrible, the receivers suck ( Ted Ginn Jr. is the best receiver. What the heck?) and the secondary is young.  Greg Olsen has really been Carolina’s only weapon this year.

Kansas City won again 0n Sunday, in a crazy finish.  After a late TD that put Atlanta up 28-27, they chose to go for the 2 point conversion.  Well, it backfired.  He threw a pick to Eric Berry, and Berry returned it to get two points for Kansas City, and the Chiefs were up 29-28.  They held on to win, and improve to 9-3.
