2017 has their first surprise cup series winner, Ryan Newman. After Joey Logano crashed, Newman and two other didn’t pit, which helped his win. After winning Newman was asked about his winless drought he said, “I’ve lost count, it’s been so long.”

   If you like NASCAR, you might remember the fight between Busch and Logano. After being hit by Logano’s car Busch went spinning. After previously said the incident, Busch attempted to punch Logano before being attacked by Logano’s crew. This week it was equipment failure that cost Busch the win. Logano says he believes the front right tire blew because it overheated.

   It was the first race Richard Childress Racing won since November 2013. The winner in 2013, Kevin Harvick, moved to Stewart-Haas Racing and replaced Newman who moved to RCR’s.
