While we were growing up, the big thing (at least for my friends and I) was to watch Disney Channel and talk about the latest drama on Hannah Montana, That’s So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Phil of the Future, and so much more. Looking back at Disney Channel, they have cut lots of shows and created completely new concepts for the new generation and age demographic. This includes networks like Disney Junior and Disney XD, which are catered to toddlers and young boys.

More recent shows include Girl Meets World, K.C. Undercover, Andi Mack, and Bizaardvark.

However, on a recent search, Disney Channel has lost lots of views because they cut their classics. Their most popular viewer interaction is when they do “Throwback Thursdays”, which is when they revive old movie classics or rerun the old shows.

As a senior, it’s a bitter sweet feeling. You’re leaving the old you behind to welcome the new you into college, professional athletics, or a career and most likely moving out on your own for the first time. While you will be sad that some of your fondest memories are now memories, know that memories become treasures.  Like Disney Channel, it’s important to remember all of the great memories and episodes with the friends you made at your time in high school and carry that same spunk with you into your new adventure.

Congratulations to the Class of 2018 and I hope the next chapter in your life is your best yet!
