This scene is based on one of my true life experiences, but all names have been changed to protect the identity of those involved. On April 3,2012, a tornado came a few blocks away from my private school in Arlington, TX. Earlier that morning it was a nice day, and I didn’t expect a thing. In a matter of minutes, I was scared when I found out we were under a tornado watch and then warning. Thankfully, the tornado went by without damaging the school.
