THE 12 “TREES” OF CHRISTMAS?
The Dallas Arboretum Gets a New Theme
Everyone knows that silly song/ poem the 12 days of Christmas, it has been engrained in our minds since we were even able to walk. The Dallas arboretum this year chose the 12 days of Christmas as their theme this year.
For those of you who aren’t aware of the Dallas arboretum it is basically a botanical garden, with each season the garden picks different themes. For example for Halloween and Thanksgiving there was all of these fairy tales and story books incorporated into the garden, but made out of pumpkins. I was fortunate enough to go when they had just set up the Christmas things and the Halloween and Thanksgiving pumpkins were still there.
The 12 days of Christmas was set up around the garden with music playing. It was little glass boxes holding each and everything in the poem. Some of the boxes even had things moving inside. My favorite box would have to have been the 2 Turtle Doves one, but then again it’s probably because my last name is Dove!
