Also, another way to prevent animal homelessness is to take your strays in and get them spayed and neutered. Yesterday I was walking in my backyard and I found 3 kittens about 3 weeks old. We quickly put an ad on Craigslist and got 2 of them adopted (one of them was sick), and those people were the reason that those 2 kittens have a happy home and they will probably live a long and fulfilling lives.
