Everyone has heard the name Kobe Bryant. You think of shoes, Los Angeles Lakers, MVP Awards, Olympics, and someone who can score a ton of points. Kobe did just that in the final game of his illustrious NBA career, scoring a league season high 60 points as well as one assist against the Utah Jazz. “Man!” Kobe exclaimed. “I can’t believe how fast 20 years went by. This is crazy. This is absolutely crazy.” Kobe won the NBA MVP award in 2008, averaging 28.4 PPG, 5.4 APG, and 6.3 RPG on the season. He won 5 NBA Championships, coming in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, and 2010. He also was an 18 time NBA all-star, coming in 1998, and 2000-2016. He was the All-Star game MVP four times, coming in 2002, 2007, 2009, and 2011. Bryant won two Olympic Gold Medals, coming in 2008 and 2012. Kobe’s nickname was “The Black Mamba.” Kobe can be considered one of the best LA Lakers ever as well as one of the best players in NBA History.
