So my boyfriend and I have been going out since 7th grade, and he was always really sweet to me and would always say that he loves me, but I went on vacation for a week about a month ago and he’s been different ever since. He is more distant than normal. I wanna ask him what happened, but I’m afraid of what he’ll say. What do I do?

Dear Upset and Scared,

My best advice to give to you would be to talk to him. People always told me, “Prepare for the worst but expect the best.” Even though I’ve never been through a situation like this, I really do hope that will help. I know it’s not much and it’s very simple but it does work, I swear.
