Videos of people playing with homemade slime have gone viral on social media.  Whether it is because of the sound, texture, or just the pure joy of playing with something squishy, one thing is for sure: slime is taking the internet world by storm.  However, there is a bit of confusion on how to make this gooey masterpiece.  The supplies you will need to create your homemade slime is:

• Clear glue (preferably Elmer’s glue, or you could use glitter glue)
• 1/2 cup of liquid starch (approximately)
• Food coloring (optional)

Step 1

You will want to start out by mixing the glue and the food coloring of your choice together in a bowl.  You can either use glitter glue, or you can use the plain glue.

Step 2

You will now need 1/2 cup of liquid starch.  After stirring this into your mixture, you will check the consistency. If the recipe is too thin and not yet like slime, you should add more liquid starch a teaspoon at a time.  Stir each time you add, and stop when you have the right texture.  Once it is all mixed up, you should knead your slime to further combine your ingredients.
