Week 6 of the NFL season had everything: blowouts, nail-biting finishes, and no shortage of big plays. Only one undefeated remains as the Chiefs went down against the Patriots. Here’s that and more from week 6.

The Dallas Cowboys improved to 3-3 in an unprecedented 40-7 dismantling of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Dallas finally got the passing game going, with Dak Prescott throwing for 183 yards and two touchdowns, both of which were to Cole Beasley. Beasley also had 101 yards receiving on the game. Prescott also rushed for a career-high 82 yards and a touchdown. “It’s definitely the best we’ve played from executing on offense and taking advantage of when the defense is giving us turnovers and good field position,” Prescott said. “We were just feeding off each other. We felt it early. I don’t know if it was Conor McGregor or whatever it was” (courtesy of espn.com). McGregor, who is a star UFC fighter, hung out with the Cowboys before the game on Sunday, and was seen pumping them up in the pregame. Ezekiel Elliott also played well, putting in 106 yards and a touchdown rushing. The Jaguars offense was never able to get going, with only 214 yards of total offense. “Tough to describe, just pretty much a waste of a day, and a trip,” Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles said. “Not by any means what we expected to do, were planning on doing. We’ve got to find a way to fix it, and we will” (courtesy of espn.com).

The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season against the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. Stephen Gostkowski’s last-second field goal won the game for the Patriots and helped them improve to 4-2. Tom Brady passed for 340 yards and a touchdown and also ran for a touchdown, which is a rarity for him. “I got close to the goal line and I just figured I’d try to get it in,” Brady said of his late TD plunge. “We needed it” (courtesy of espn.com). For the Chiefs, they nearly capped off a huge comeback, as they were down 24-9 at the half. A late touchdown by Tyreek Hill tied the game at 40 points, but Gostkowski’s field goal sealed their fate. “The last two weeks it seems like we just can’t punch it in there and I feel like the second half we finally started getting it in the end zone,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said (Courtesy of espn.com).

The drama surrounding the New York Giants continued in their 34-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Odell Beckham Jr., who has been in the rumor mill lately due to comments he’s made about his team, left the field before halftime, supposedly to get an IV. He was also seen headbutting and punching a fan (not the human kind of fan) on the sidelines. While Beckham was relatively ineffective, rookie running back Saquon Barkley continues to impress. He rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown and added in 99 yards receiving on 9 catches. “How do I feel about my performance tonight?” Barkley asked, rhetorically. “Doesn’t matter to me. We didn’t win” (Courtesy of espn.com).

The iUPrep fantasy football league season is continuing to move along with its twists and turns for almost every team. Here are my current power rankings after week 6 of the iUPrep fantasy football league.

1.  Team Phoenix Pugs (6-0)-With a win over B-Town BroccoliFlorets in week 6, the Phoenix Pugs improved to 6-0, and remain the only unbeaten team. With the Chiefs trio of Patrick Mahomes, Kareem Hunt, and Tyreek Hill, this team looks primed to have continued success.
2.  Zeke Squad (4-2)-Picking up Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston from the waivers made a huge difference this week in Zeke Squad’s win over Todd the God, with Winston scoring 52.8 fantasy points. The huge trade for Stefon Diggs highlighted this week for them, and the future looks bright for this squad, with AJ Green, Ezekiel Elliott, and Sony Michel as well as Diggs on this roster.
3.  B-Town BroccoliFlorets (4-2)-After losing to Zeke Squad in week 5 and Team Phoenix Pugs in week 6, this team is now 4-2. No need to panic, as this team still had over 200 points in this weeks game. With Melvin Gordon and Saquon Barkley as the two running backs, this team is loaded with star power.
4.  Clarke’s Batman (3-3)-Taking down a team that was 4-1 goes a long way, and this team keeps on making great acquisitions from the waivers. Tyler Boyd has been a great steal so far, and his trade with Zeke Squad that sent Ezekiel Elliott to Zeke Squad as Batman acquired Antonio Brown has paid off. This team should only get better from here.
5.  Watson’s Warriors (4-2)-After a dismal week 6 in which they lost to Clarke’s Batman, Watson’s Warriors looks to get back on track in week 7 against Zeke Squad. With Michael Thomas, Andrew Luck, and Christian McCaffrey on this team, watch for the Warriors to win a lot of games before the end of the season.
6.  Shake N Baker (3-3)-This team has turned around their 0-3 start with a 3 game win streak. This team has a matchup against Clarke’s Batman, who is one of the top teams as of late in week 7. A win here could set the tone for the rest of this season for Shake N Baker.
7.  Todd the God (2-4)-While having high scoring outings almost every week, the cards have not fallen right for this team. With Todd Gurley, Tom Brady, and JuJu Smith-Schuster headlining this squad, the sky is the limit for this team as long as the cards fall the right way.
8.  Teenage Mutant Ninja Bortles (3-3)-With wins over Watson’s Warriors and Zeke Squad, this team has had its good weeks and bad weeks, and needs to find some consistency, This team is flying under the radar but could make some real noise with Julio Jones and Russell Wilson on the roster. A win over B-Town BroccoliFlorets in week 7 would go a long way for this squad.
9.  Team buc-ees (1-5)-Other than their win over Todd the God in week 3, nothing has gone well for this team. Blake Bortles has been mediocre, Jack Doyle has been out, and the receivers are not playing at a high level. Maybe when Doyle comes back, that will change this team.
10. Team Lane (0-6)-This team has had no positives other than giving Phoenix Pugs a challenge in week 1. The drama surrounding Odell Beckham and the status of Joe Mixon have been big question marks. It wouldn’t surprise me if this team gets aggressive to try and get some wins.

My current NFL MVP Rankings
1.  Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City
2.  Todd Gurley, RB, Los Angeles Rams
3.  Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Dallas
4.  Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans
5.  Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh
