Boo was a dog born on Halloween. Boo scared everyone and he loved it. Sometimes he would just jump out and bark, other times he would sneak up on them and pounce. Though his scares were good year round, he always saved his best scare for Halloween and the children new it was coming. But one day he stopped scaring, everyone was worried about Boo. Even the dog catcher, and he was mean. Boo told everyone that he was sad. The children asked him what he was sad about, but he wouldn’t answer. They asked again and again, but he still wouldn’t answer. They were scared for Boo. Then one day Boo came out of his dog house and he was laughing a lot. Then he shouted I got you! You were scared! The children ran to him and hugged him. One of the smallest children said in a quiet voice, “We were scared for you.” So if you hear someone say “Boo!” on Halloween, they’re either trying to scare you or they have just witnessed the amazing dog, Boo.
