Once upon a time there was a rabbit named Bibbit and a fox named Cox. They both loved to explore. In fact they had met when Bibbit had gone to explore the neighborhood and met Cox. One day they decided to go exploring. They lived in a very large forest with lots of trees so they got lost quickly. “Oh no, what are we going to do!” said Cox. ”Keep your tail on,” said Bibbit, “We will find a way out of here.”
The two looked around and tried to figure out which way they had gone. Then Cox noticed something. “Hey there are your paw prints and that stick I was chewing!” “Excellent!” exclaimed Bibbit, “We can follow those out!” And so they did.
Before long they were back at Bibbit’s house where they had started. Bibbit and Cox did not have a lot more adventures until they were nearly grown up when they heard about an interesting place called the Amazon rainforest, and decided to adventure there.
They both grabbed their camouflage hats, except Cox’s was bright yellow camouflage. “Seriously Cox?” said Bibbit. “Seriously,” Cox said, “Neon yellow is my favorite color.” Then they both made thirty sandwiches and put them in Bibbit’s cooler bag so they would have things to eat. Then they headed out the door to the Amazon rainforest.
But then they discovered that you couldn’t just walk to the Amazon Rainforest, so they rented snorkel gear and swam to the Amazon Rainforest. They saw a lot of colorful things like coral and fish. They even saw a shark that chased them but they swam very fast and were able to escape it. After a while they got to the Amazon Rainforest. It was very green and sticky but just as colorful as the coral reefs they had seen. “Wow,” said Cox, “this is amazing.” They did a lot of exploring and saw very interesting things like a poison dart frog, which none of them touched, a whole bunch of snakes and even a leopard. They also saw some brightly colored birds! Cox went up to them and introduced himself. Then the birds went and introduced themselves as Brighty, Flighty, Lighty and Mighty. Cox said he really liked their names, especially Mighty’s and they talked for a while. It turned out all of them liked strawberries
After a while they sat down to eat the sandwiches but they were soggy and gross. Bibbit decided to go and look for some fruit since the sandwiches were soggy. A few feet away Bibbit shouted, “Uh Cox I could use some help!” She had fallen in a sinkhole. Cox raced over and barely escaped falling into the sinkhole himself! Cox looked around for something he could use to pull his friend out. Then he had an idea! Cox had made friends with a lot of the brightly colored birds so he went and asked them for help. He said, “My friend, Bibbit, has fallen in a sinkhole. I am going to get a vine to pull her out, but I can’t pull her out by myself. Will you help me?” The birds chirped their reply. “Yes of course we will help you!” Together they were able to pull Bibbit out of the sinkhole. The birds also told Cox where to find some good fruit.
A few hours later Bibbit and Cox decided that they were finished exploring and were ready to go home. They put on the snorkel gear and swam back home.
