THE SUMMER SET (2 MUSIC VIDEOS)
Whether you listen to Taylor Swift, Pierce the Veil, or The Neighborhood, you cannot resist the catchy tunes of the Summer Set. Created in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2007 by members John Gomez (Guitar/Backup Vocals), Stephen Gomez (Bass), Josh Montgomery (Guitar), and Jessica “Jess” Bowen (Drums), they currently have 3 albums and 4 EPs. Their albums are Love Like This (2009), Everything’s Fine (2011), and Legendary (2013). Their EPs are Love the Love You Have, In Color, What Money Can’t Buy, and Meet Me At the Left Coast, and a bonus CD of 5 Taylor Swift covers. Their super peppy love ballad “Boomerang” (below) hit the billboard charts with the album at #53. Before they were The Summer Set, they were the “Crowbars” and one of the albums is called Legendary, so the Summer Set sometimes say that “Crowbars are Legendary!”
The first time I ever heard of the Summer Set, I was with my cousin and she showed me the video to Boomerang (which is amazing, by the way) and I fell instantly in love with the band. I’ve been listening to them for years, and I love all of their songs, and everyone who I’ve played their songs for has loved them.
I do not own these songs. (Obviously)
