HAPPILY EVER AFTER: RAPUNZEL

HAPPILY EVER AFTER: RAPUNZEL

Once upon a time, there was a young teen named Punzie. She lived in the very back of the neighborhood with her over protective mother. She was allowed no social media, no friends, and she was home schooled. She grew bored in her room, only finding entertainment in painting. She loved to paint the landscapes, the night sky, but she mainly found herself painting fantasies of public school, where she had always dreamed of going. With her only electronic device, her phone, she hacked into its security system and allowed herself to download Twitter. She followed everyone her age in her city, hoping to find out what was happening at her local high school. She discovered there was a dance in a week, and everyone was talking about how it was the last dance of the year. She sent out a statement saying she wanted to attend the dance, but no one seemed interested in her. One night, she snuck out her unbolted window and went to the neighborhood lake. She sat by the edge and watched the glistening water. Suddenly a dark figure appeared in its reflection as a large stone landed into the clear water with a splash, rippling its surface. She turned behind her, frightened for she had never met another person besides her mother. She demanded to know who he was, and he answered that his name was Flynn. They spoke small talk, which then led to discussions about the school dance she wished to attend. He offered to take her if she hid beer for her which he was hiding from his parents. She then ran, for her mother had told her many scary stories about alcohol and how it destroyed people. She climbed back up the vines leading to her bedroom. She fell back asleep and awoke the next morning. She remembered it was her birthday, and she requested her mother to allow her to go to the dance for her present. Her mother became furious and locked her bedroom door shut and bolted the windows. When her temper died down, she asked for her present to instead have her mother buy her a purple gown to own, which was found in a shop hours away. The mother agreed for she felt a little guilty for keeping her daughter stowed away. She left and Punzie knew it was her chance. She smashed her window open and jumped out once more and ran to the local stores to buy items for the dance. She bought a pair of gorgeous silver heels and diamond earrings. She also bought a hand pouch which was lace and white. When she returned home and tucked the goods in the back of her closet. Her mother returned home that evening and presented her with the gown, which was tightly fitted at the top and the lavender fabric flared out to her heels. The day of the dance arrived quickly, and she needed to find a way to distract her mother so she could leave, but because she was aware of the event happening, the possibility was small. She had an idea, but it was very risky and her mother would never forgive her. So she went down the stairs and offered to help with that evening’s dinner. The mother accepted and handed her a pot to fill with water. Instead, Punzie whacked her mother atop the head. She dropped the pot and caught her mother and carried her to bed with an ice pack and placed headache medicine on her side table with a glass of water. She then exited the house with her gown and goodies. She got her hair and makeup professionally done before slipping into her dress and accessories. On her way to the school gym she passed Flynn, who approached her. He stopped her and offered her some of the liquid he had in a cup in exchange for a kiss, which she responded with a punch to the jaw. She gathered her composure and entered the gym where no one payed attention to her, except one of the parent chaperones. She approached Punzie, and asked her for her name. After her reply, the woman gasped and embraced her into a hug. She explained that she had put her up for adoption because she was financial ruins. They spoke the rest of the night, and Punzie told her about her over protective mother, which angered the woman very much. She called child protective services, and gained protection for her daughter who then lived with her for the rest of her childhood. Punzie lived a happy life after that, attended school, made friends, and became a well known artist. And with that, she lived happily ever after.
