SAFETY TIPS FOR HALLOWEEN NIGHT

I know that there are many scary and bad people in the world, you probably know it too. So I am going to give you some tips to stay away from them and to be safe on Halloween night. You should also be able to know the difference between just a plain-old person in a costume and a person who is actually bad!

Tips for Trick-or-Treating with Friends:

There are many people out there who Trick-or-Treat alone or with their friends and you should be safe either way so here are some tips. Did you know that if you are 12 and younger it is recommended that at least one adult be with you?  I didn’t and honestly, that is probably the safest tip I can give anyone. Remember that all safety laws still apply for Halloween night, so please do not jaywalk. You could easily not see a car coming and get your little witch hat or goblin ears messed up!  My next tip to you is, if there are no sidewalks on a street or in the neighborhood walk on the left side of the road so that you can see the way traffic is going. Another is that when you are going from house to house, try to walk and not run. I know that there are temptations to run and overflow your bag with the scrumptious goodness of candy, but it is safer to walk so that nobody trips and hurts themselves. Every year people get more attached to their phones and want to be on them 24/7, but try to enjoy Halloween and have fun with those creatures tucked away in your pockets! Try to stay away from people who look suspicious. The last thing we need is someone getting hurt. Then last but NOT least do not talk to strangers because you never know who they are out of the costume!

Tips for Anyone:

As you know or probably heard there are clowns and even if there is just a person dressed up like a clown, I recommend you stay away from them. I am not really sure what is going on with the whole clown thing at this point but just STAY AWAY!!!!!  Really the only other tip is to keep yourself safe and do try to follow the rules above. Some of them are helpful for anyone! I do recommend going in a group it is definitely safer!

So once again stay safe and be calm at all times!  Never let your guard down, and HAVE FUN!!
