ANOTHER ROYAL WEDDING
“Edo and Beatrice are made for each other, and their happiness and love is there for all to see.” –Mozzi’s parents
Yet another royal wedding is to come! On September 26, 2019, the Buckingham Palace announced Princess Beatrice of York’s engagement to property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The two made their first public appearance together at the Portrait Gala in London’s National Portrait Gallery in March of this year, and are said to have been dating since the Fall of last year. They became engaged in Italy while on vacation and are planning a wedding in 2020.
Mozzi is the Chief Executive officer (CEO) of the architecture and design studio, Banda. He has one son, Wolfie, from a previous relationship, and is the royal family’s first American–a mixed-race stepchild. Princess Beatrice also had a previous long-term relationship, however, that ended in 2016. Beatrice and Edoardo have known each other for a very long time, and both of their families were elated to see them marry. “Edo and Beatrice are made for each other, and their happiness and love is there for all to see,” said Mozzi’s parents. The princess’s sister Eugenie Ferguson agreed. “Beabea- wow! I’m so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be,” she tweeted shortly after the announcement. Beatrice’s parents have also commented on the occasion; “We are the lucky parents of a wonderful daughter who has found her love and companion in a completely devoted friend and loyal young man. We send them every good wish for a wonderful family future,” the Duke and Duchess of York said.
The exact date of the wedding is still currently unknown, but be looking for lots of news and headlines next year as Princess Beatrice becomes a new bride and step-mom!
