THE MAZE RUNNER
A Look Into the Movie
My Opinion:
My opinion is that there were a few important parts that were left out. I will not tell you these things in case you have not seen the movie. The movie had a bit of cussing unlike the well-known and adored book. No extremely bad words, but they were not the kindest. If you liked the book you will definitely love the movie! I think that the book is better because I had a better understanding of the emotions of this book by watching the movie. I would definitely recommend this book to all of the adventurous people out there!
Interview 1:
What was your favorite part of the movie? He says, “I was really interested in the plot of the story and loved the element of mystery and adventure. I definitely recommend this movie to those adventurers out there waiting to be inspired.”
What was your least favorite part of the movie? He says, “I really don’t like the awful words mentioned in the movie. I also didn’t enjoy the goriness in the movie.”
Do you think it followed the main plot of the book? He says, “I think it really does pick up the spirit of the plot but it doesn’t always match the book.”
Interview 2:
What was your favorite part of the movie? She says, “When Thomas saved Minho and Alby that was my favorite part. The boys reaction when those three returned home was great. It made a lot of them braver.”
What was your least favorite part of the movie? She says, “My least favorite part was when chuck died. It was so sad.”
Do you think it followed the main plot of the book? She says, “The movie did follow the main plot of the book, but it lacked the character development in the book.”
Interview 3:
What was your favorite part of the movie? He says, “My favorite part was watching the Gladers fight the Grievers to escape the maze.” Did they make it out? Watch the movie to find out!
What was your least favorite part of the movie? He says, “I was sad when Chuck died.” Who was chuck? Why and how did he die? Watch the movie!
Do you think it followed the main plot of the book? He says, “The main story was the same, but there were a lot of significant differences in the plot details.” Have you read the book? What details? Are the details left out the most important ones?
Now that I know what other’s opinion are, I will make a chart and another paragraph to show my data.
I agree with the person I interviewed for interview 1. I agree because I was very intrigued by the plot and I was always at the edge of my seat. I also agree with that interview because they added some not nice words that were not in the book, and because the plot does not always match the book, but the main plot is the same. I also agree with interview 2 because that was my favorite part as well. We also shares the same least favorite part. Another reason why I agree with this person is because I noticed that the movie lacked the character development that was in the book, but it did follow the main plot. I agree with the third interview because I was at the edge of my seat for that part. My least favorite part is the same as his. I agree that it followed the main plot of the book and that the details are not always the same.
I asked everyone I interviewed to rate the movie from 1 to 10, 10 being the best and 1 being the worst absolute movie. Here is what I recorded. I also added my opinion.
