Fishing is a great time to make family memories. My first catch is a memory I will never forget. I was just sitting in the boat when all of a sudden I felt a tug on my line and I was like I have a fish and so I reeled it in and it was a good size fish. So, I know 12 people at iUP that will fish over the weekend and will come to the LL and brag to all the people in the ll how big the fish was. So I think you should try it. In this article, I will be teaching you step by step how to be good at fishing. If you are new to fishing, you need a pole and a reel.  (I prefer closed face reel). I prefer a closed face reel because it is the easiest to use. Get Fishbrain it helps (Free). This is a website that is free. You can find lakes, see what has been caught, the best baits, etc.

  1. Go to the lake.
  2. You need to put on some bait when you get there, something like this picture

How to cast and reel

3. When your bait stops moving, that either means it is stuck or it is a fish. If it is pulling, that is a fish.

4. When you get a fish, you will pull back on your pole and it will set the hook .

5. Do that once or twice and then start reeling in.

Once you’ve had a long day of fishing, pack up your stuff and go home.

I hope this article helped you learn how to fish. Have a nice day fishing!
