Thanksgiving is a time of year when families come together for fellowship, plenty of food, and giving thanks. My family is no different when it comes to all the American traditions, but we’ve added a few of our own. We always travel during the Thanksgiving holidays, and our travels vary from twenty minutes to my grandparents’ house, or three states away with close friends. Thanksgiving dinner always varies in time but one thing stays the same: afternoon football. What’s an all-American holiday without an all-American sports event? A final rite of passage is the days immediately following Thanksgiving. During that time my family concludes the Thanksgiving holiday by coming together to put up the Christmas decorations and purchase the candy canes. Wherever my family decides to be, Thanksgiving is definitely a favorite holiday of mine.
