A HARDWARE STORE MADE INTO AN APARTMENT THEN CHRISTMAS-FIED

A Personal Christmas Experience in Lancaster

The town of Lancaster was founded by my dad’s girlfriend’s family, the Rawlins. Every year there is a tour of the homes in Lancaster for Christmas time. This year, Tori’s cousin showed off her newly restored apartment. What was so cool about this apartment was that it used to be a hardware store. The hardware store sat directly above buildings in the town’s square; next to it was the local movie theater and bank. Now, residents of Lancaster are refurbishing the square and moving in. The apartment was huge: starting with an open living room and kitchen that led into an office/library, then there was the other side of the apartment that had an old fashioned bathtub and an elevator made into a shower. The amazing part about all of this was all of the unique Christmas lights and things that were in the apartment; most of it was antique as well. Everything had its place, yet it was all stuck together. Somehow and someway it worked. I left the tour looking at old homes and antiques on Pinterest to get more ideas.
