RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS

What Could You Do?

Random acts of kindness are a win-win situation. The person who receives the random act of kindness feels special, and the doer feels good for making that person feel special. Christmas is the perfect time to start giving out random acts of kindness! Here are fifteen ideas:

1. Send a friend a hand-made card.

2. Walk your neighbor’s dog for free.

3. Treat a friend to a movie.

4. Hold the door open and say hello to everybody who walks in.

5. Have a casual conversation with a homeless person and get to know them.

6. Give a piece of candy to a delivery person or the mailman.

7. Tell all your friends and family members that you are thankful for them and that you love them.

8. Send a thank you note to someone who helped you in the past.

9. Clean the house or just do a few chores without your parents telling you to.

10. Email or write a letter to a teacher you had in the past that made a difference in your life or inspired you in some way.

11. Talk to the shy person who always sits alone.

12. Call your grandparents and have a conversation with them.

13. Put sticky notes with positive slogans on the mirrors in restrooms.

14. Play board games with senior citizens at a nursing home. Sixty percent of them won’t ever have any visitors during their stay.

15. Compliment strangers that you see in a store (or anywhere).
