San Diego QB Philip Rivers

Another great week of NFL football has passed!  Here are the headlines from week 6.

The Dallas Cowboys are great again!  After their latest win against Green Bay, they are now 5-1.  Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott seem to be the leaders of the team.  In the Cowboys 30-16 win at Green Bay, Elliott ran for 157 yards and Dak Prescott passed for 247 yards, 3 touchdowns, and his first career interception.  Dallas now leads the NFC East, and has the second best record in the NFL, behind the Minnesota Vikings, who are 5-0.

The San Diego Chargers stunned the defending Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos 21-13 on Thursday Night at Quallcomm Stadium in San Diego.  Phillip Rivers passed for 178 yards and one touchdown, and passed Hall of Famer Dan Fouts to become San Diego’s career passing yards leader.  San Diego kicker Josh Lambo kicked 4 field goals in San Diego’s 21-13 win.

The Miami Dolphins upset the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-15 on Sunday as Dolphins HB Jay Ajayi ran for 204 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries.  Ben Rothlisberger was held to only 189 yards passing and suffered a knee injury against Miami.  He will have surgery and is out for Sunday’s game against the Patriots.  “No need to sugarcoat,” Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin said.  “We got beat soundly.”
