Journey Across the Lone Star State

While on a recent trip to El Paso, Mr. Burch and I discovered a culinary tradition tucked away in an aging building. Since 1927, the L & J Café has served authentic Mexican food to hungry El Pasoans and travelers alike. Although the restaurant sits adjacent to a cemetery, the spirit of excellent family cooking is alive and well in the L & J kitchen. For a plate to remember and a true taste of the southwest, we recommend ordering the house special: green chili chicken enchiladas.

¡Buen Provecho!
