TOP 3 THANKSGIVING BREAK VACATION SPOTS

Great Places to Get Away With Your Family This November

It’s time to plan your dream Thanksgiving Break Vacation! Thanksgiving Break is coming fast and you don’t want to be stuck at home all week. Here are a few ideas of where to go this November!

Have you ever dreamed of drinking hot chocolate on a cold winter night while watching the Northern Lights? Then this is perfect for you! The first location is Iceland, it may be cold but it is definitely worth it for how beautiful it is. Everywhere you turn there are miles of fluffy white snow as far as the eye can see. While you’re there, here’s a few things you should try to see. First, the Blue Lagoon. You’ve probably seen pictures of this natural hot spring, which is a light, majestic blue. You probably didn’t think you could swim in Iceland but this relaxing, fun, and surreal attraction is definitely a must. The next thing I would look for every night is The Northern Lights. They don’t come out all the time but if you get a chance to see them, it is truly a magical, once in a lifetime experience. Lastly, a little outing to the local town Reykjavík is a great way to insert yourself into the special culture of Iceland.

The second place is probably a lot closer to home then Iceland, but it still involves a flight or a long drive, but good for a quick trip or long week stay. You guessed it, sunny Los Angeles, California! If you and your family love perfect weather, entertainment, and outdoor activities, this is the place for you. First off, the weather. Let’s just say people who live in California complain when it sprinkles for 5 minutes… I wish I lived in a place where that was considered bad weather! Next is entertainment, and LA has something for everyone. One big attraction is a tour of the Warner Brothers lot, you can see many different sets like the Ellen show and even go through the Harry Potter exhibit with props from the movie. Not to mention it is a quick drive to Disneyland, Universal Studios, and if that craziness is not for you, there are plenty of movie theatres to take off and have a nice relaxing night. The last main reason this makes such a good vacation spot is the outdoor activities. As I mentioned before, LA has really good weather so it is a great place to get some fresh air. There are so many great hiking trails to beautiful spots like the Hollywood sign, or just calm walks through thousands of trees and wildlife. Not to mention it is always good to book a hotel that has a pool so you can go relax by the pool, read a book, draw, or do whatever makes you happy.

The last, but definitely not least location is back in Europe, they’re famous for their waffles and chocolate, and they have some of the most beautiful buildings in the world. The final location is in fact, Belgium! You can’t be sad when you’re here, every corner you turn there is a fresh Belgium waffle stand and probably at least two chocolate shops, I’m not exaggerating. These waffles are like nothing you ever tasted, they’re coated in sugar pellets and you can add whatever toppings you want, not to mention they are perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. As far as the chocolate goes, you are definitely going to want to make room in your bag to take some home, it is so creamy you can’t resist but taking some home for later. Another thing you can’t miss is looking around at the beautiful buildings in small towns like Brugge. From Churches, to houses, to museums, every building has something so aesthetic and picture perfect to it. Make sure you have your camera, you don’t want to miss these wonderful picture opportunities!

I hope this article helped you find the perfect Thanksgiving vacation spot for you and your family. Safe travels, I’m sure you’ll make memories to last a lifetime!
