BTS THE FIRST KPOP BOY BAND TO TOP BILLBOARD HOT 100

The K-Pop boy band taking the world by storm

BTS is a Korean pop boy band taking over the world one hit pop song at a time. BTS, which stands for Bulletproof Boy Scouts, is a South Korean pop band under the company Big Hit Entertainment. They first originated in 2010 but came out with their debut single, “No More Dream,” in 2013. Ever since then, RM, Jungkook, Suga, Taehyung, Jin, Jimin, and J-Hope have become world-renowned names in the Korean music scene as well as the American music industry.

BTS has hit many great milestones throughout their ten year career. Through hard work and dedication they shined through all negativity with a smile knowing that with their international and Korean fanbase they would gain the support they needed to keep going. As the Bulletproof Boy Scouts it only makes sense that their fanbase is called, well, Army! Armys are BTS’s backbone and keep them progressing to even greater goals. Army is a great example of having a good support system that allows you to reach your highest potential.

Just recently, BTS released a new song called, “Dynamite,” which is entirely sung in English. This is a turning point for their career and for K-pop at large.  “Dynamite” hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and the music video for the song became the fastest YouTube video in history to reach ten million views.

BTS is a successful band, but only through hard earned work and commitment to wanting to achieve more in their life. With their relatively young age, they may just be getting started.
