BEAUTIFUL+PLACES+HERE+IN+TEXAS

During the early fall or late spring, my family and I usually go on family trips here in Texas. These trips can be from biking at a nearby park to camping at a site. Wherever it is, there are great views and activities for us to do. Here are a few places that you and your family can visit around Texas.

 

River Legacy-

This park is 10-20 minutes away from the Fort Worth-Dallas area, located in Arlington, TX. This park has a great biking trail along with a park and field. A huge pavilion is also here, allowing your family and friends to have a grill or just a picnic. This park is encompassed by a cement trail so you can either go for a walk/run or on a bike if you don’t want to go on the bike trail.

 

Oak Grove Park-

This park is 30-40 minutes away from the Fort Worth-Dallas area, located in Grapevine, TX. This park has a lake where you can bring out your boat or jetski and have fun. A field is located here where you can play football or soccer with your friends and family. Three sand volleyball pits are open to the public to use and the courts are lit up at night so you can play in the cooler climate. There is also a great biking trail (Horseshoe trail) here for those who want to bike.

 

Joe Pool-

This park/campsite is 35 minutes away from the Fort Worth-Dallas area, located near Grand Prairie TX. This park has many things for you and your family to do. From fishing off the lake, to camping in Loyd Park, hiking the trails, or just having a picnic, this park will guarantee you and your family and friends some quality time.

 

Lake Fork-

This beautiful lake is located about 2 hours away from the Fort Worth-Dallas area, east of Dallas, TX. If you plan on camping here, there are numerous options. You can lodge, camp in RV’s, or in an actual campsite. Fishing competitions are also quite popular here and prizes are offered. However, if you and your family just want to have a nice time, kayaks and canoes are also allowed to just cruise along the lake. A little merchandise shop is also here, selling priceless souvenirs for you to remember this momentous trip by.
