A Disney vacation is one almost every student dreams of. Whether it’s over spring break, Christmas, or summer vacation the trip is sure to be filled with fun, excitement and that special touch of magic. There are so many Disney theme parks across the world ranging from Disney World all the way to Disneyland Paris. However, one of the most asked questions is which experience is the best between Disney World and Land: the two parks in the U.S.

I took a survey to see which iUniversity students preferred Disney World and DisneyLand. Over 75% of the students compared Disney World, however, almost 50% of them had never traveled to the California Park.

Walt Disney World is the bigger of the two parks with 4 different themes: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Whereas DisneyLand has 2: Disneyland Park and California Adventure. Another difference is that Cinderella’s castle is at the center of Disney World while Sleeping Beauty’s Castle belongs to Disneyland. However, at both, you can make reservations for meals with the characters.

Disneyland offers features like Downtown Disney, which is only a few steps away from the hotels with shops and many dining options. Both parks offer attractions such as Space Mountain, It’s A Small World, and Pirates of the Caribbean. One of the shows unique to Disneyland is the World of Color nighttime show.

Disneyland has more opportunities for interaction with the characters because most are walking around the park freely whereas in Disney World you have to wait in line during specific times of the day. While California is the original location, Disney World has more rides to offer like seven dwarfs, mine trains, and hotels spread throughout its parks but is more costly.

Both options have pros and cons but one thing is for sure: no matter which park you choose, both offer unique options. Magical places and an opportunity to spend time at the happiest place in the world.
