Summer Snacks to Enjoy!


While it may be a song, I don’t know about you, but I will be indulging in some sweet watermelon this summer season! From fresh fruit to light desserts to a salad, have I got the summer recipes for you!

Let’s start with a classic favorite: Fruit salad! I have my own special blend for this one based on experimentation and what was available at the time.

  • 1 apple cut into small pieces
  • 5 strawberries, cut into slices
  • A handful of blackberries
  • A handful of raspberries
  • 1 peach cut into small pieces
  • A handful of grapes cut in half

Once all of the ingredients have been mixed together, squeeze the juice of a lime over all of it. So delicious!

Next up is an easy snack that doubles as a dessert: A parfait! Simpy layer

  • Vanilla yogurt
  • Chopped peaches
  • Honey granola
  • Vanilla yogurt
  • Chopped blueberries
  • Honey granola

By the time you have finished, you will have six beautiful layers of mixed fruit, yogurt, and granola. Feel free to switch out the flavors to your preferred combination!

Summer sensations salad, one of my absolute favorites! It may sound like an odd combination, but trust me, it’s delicious.

  • Mixed greens
  • Chopped strawberries
  • Chopped grapes
  • Feta cheese
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Avocado
  • Avocado oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Garlic powder
