IUP Changes Lives
iUniversity Prep changes the lives of students all around the state of Texas. Today, we are going to be looking at how iUP makes positive impacts on its students’ lives.
My Personal Story
Everyone comes to iUP for a reason, whether it is to have more flexibility or to be able to work at their own pace. My reason for choosing to attend iUP is because I have struggled with anxiety and depression since I was diagnosed at the age of six. A normal school experience was not working for me. Instead of being in class, I sat in the counselor’s office crying while trying to do my work. When I failed to do my work in the office, I did it at home where I felt more comfortable and actually got school work done. When I told my parents I had finally had enough and couldn’t do it anymore they were skeptical. As we researched and found iUP, they became more open to the idea of online school. Ever since we decided on iUP, I have been so much happier. I love the flexibility and being able to work at my own pace, as well as not having to stress about being in a traditional school setting. With iUP, I am able to focus on my education and future rather than worrying about having a panic attack in class. The biggest thing I have learned so far is that school doesn’t always have to be this huge scary thing. It can be nice and enjoyable.
Rylee’s Story
iUniversity Prep has not only helped me, but many other students as well. One of the students that I talked to about this is Rylee who also had a life changing experience with iUP. Rylee has been at iUP for 3 years. She originally came to iUP during COVID because of her high risk. She was also looking for more of a challenge than her traditional school. She said “I am planning on staying until I graduate because of how great the teachers are, how easy it is to manage a schedule, and how I can have fun while still having time to learn.” She had few friends in a traditional setting because she didn’t love to socialize. One thing she loves about iUP is the teachers and how she can focus more on her future rather than sitting in a class bored because the work is too easy. She said “iUP is a school that makes me feel like I exist and not like someone who is just doing the work in a huge school with thousands of other students who are doing the same things.” iUP helps students feel like they’re heard and can reach out when they need something.
Autumn’s Experience
Another student that I spoke with was Autumn. This is Autumn’s third year at iUP. She came to iUniversity Prep during COVID, as well, because she preferred an online setting over her zoned school. Two areas that iUP has helped her become better at is learning how to do things digitally and asking for help when she needs it. She also said that her experience with iUP has been less stressful than brick and mortar and she has been much happier in an online setting. When asked about her favorite aspects of iUP, she said “The culture that comes from virtual school, like how we connect and help each other, and all the fun clubs/events that can only happen digitally.”
Isabella’s Story
The last person I talked to about iUP was Isabella. This is Isabella’s third year at iUniversity Prep. “I have a lot of favorite things, but I would say the teachers and students are so nice here. They are always here to help you out when you need it.” said Isabella when asked her favorite thing about iUP. She also came to iUP during COVID, but after her first year she decided to stay because she loved it so much. iUniversity Prep has taught her how to be more responsible, such as not procrastinating, and has also improved her time management skills. She loves that the slides and recordings are there for her to look at visually, which helps her to focus more. Her biggest learning experience was that school doesn’t have to be a boring thing that takes up 7 hours of your day; with additional stressful homework at night.
Thanks to IUP!
These are just a few of the many students that have experienced a positive impact in their life from iUP. I would like to give a personal thanks to iUP for changing my life so dramatically and giving me chances that I didn’t know I could have. iUP gives all of its students a better opportunity to learn and grow, not just as a student but a person as well

This looks great, Bryn! You did a good job with paraphrasing and making all of these have a connection.
