EMMA JOHNSON-6TH GRADE STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Emma Johnson, the selected 6th-grader for the month of April,  embodies an ideal iUniversityPrep student. She produces, as Neely Carter recognizes, “high-quality work on every assignment”. Emma is not afraid to ask for help, on tricky assignments. Tina Alwin says, “Emma questions anything she does not understand. She doesn’t mind missing a question as much as not understanding why she missed it”. Unanswered confusion can leave both you and your teachers frustrated, so take from Emma’s example, ask for help, if needed.

Emma takes the lead in Livelessons, actively participating and giving her all. The same dedication carries on to her work outside of school. By some pure Emma Johnson magic, she finds a way to balance school and 30-40 hours per week of dance. Yep, you read that right, 30-40 hours a week of dance! Her favorite styles of dance, if she had to choose, are contemporary and tap.

On Sunday evenings, Emma attends AWANA, a Christian nonprofit organization for children from boundless backgrounds. Emma, in addition to helping kids find friendships and families, loves spending time with her own friends and family.

This is Emma’s first year at iUniversityPrep and has already made a wonderful impression on her classmates and teachers. Look out for her name, lit up on shining billboards. At the rate she’s going, you won’t have to look far.
