Music has been apart of everyone’s lives dating way back to the 1900s. A variety of artists have presented their music by uploading their tracks onto the popular platform called YouTube. However, a few music artists stand out to people and shatter YouTube records. Here are the top three artists and songs listed in the four categories in the YouTube Music Records. These records were last updated on September 18, 2020.

A category that has not changed for the past few years is All-Time Most Viewed Music Videos. In third place is the hip-hop song “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth at  4.7 billion views. Up next is “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran, a Grammy Awarded song with 4.9 billion views, and at the top of the list is the Latin pop song “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi featuring Daddy Yankee, starring the record at 6.9 billion views.

Moving on to All-Time Most Subscribed Official Artist Channels, taking the third slot is the K-pop girl group, Blackpink, with 47.9 million subscribers. The electronic music producer, Marshmello, holds second place at 48.4 million subscribers, just a few thousand ahead. Coming in first is the Canadian singer Justin Bieber, with 56.6 million subscribers.

The intense category that many fans wish for their favorite artists to hold is the All-Time Top 24 Hour Music Debuts. In third place is the adorable collaboration of Blackpink and Selena Gomez of “Ice Cream,” securing its spot at 79 million views. Another Blackpink song holds the second place title with their “How You Like That” music video with 86.3 million views. Shattering the record with 101.1 million views is the pop music video “Dynamite” by K-pop boy group, BTS.

The final category to wrap up Youtube Music Records is the All-Time Fastest Music Videos to One Billion Views. Instead of a third place, there is a tie between “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran and “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, reaching one billion views in 97 days. Taking the top spot of the category with 88 days is the Grammy Awarded pop song “Hello” by Adele.

Congratulations to all these amazing artists and songs to hold these spots! They have worked hard as their fans display their love for their favorite artists and songs.
