“My passion, my dream, became my reality at the age of 4.” Courtney Fenech started playing tennis at the age of 4. She explained “I just really love this sport and fell in love with it the day i started playing it. My passion has continued to grow over the years.” From the day Courtney picked up a racquet and began playing she has only found herself to love the game more.
Courtney Fenech is a junior at iUniversity Prep. She is a super champ in the 16’s division. She plays state tournaments monthly to continually increase her ranking. Courtney’s goal for tennis is “I would like to get a full ride or half ride to a division 1 school out of the state of Texas.” She is working very hard to accomplish her goals, by going to a full time tennis academy in Frisco, Lakes Tennis Academy. “This program has allowed me to up my tennis game not only physically, but has helped me to develop my mental game.” Courtney is dedicated to this sport, she wakes up every morning around 6:50 and heads to tennis around 8. She has a morning session 8-10:30 then she does her school work from 10:30 to 2. Courtney then heads back out on court at 2 and hits for 2 hours. After her day of tennis is over she goes home to finish up her school work. “It’s a long day but, I wouldn’t change it for the world.” Courtney expresses that her day is long and difficult but she wants this scholarship more than anything so, she is willing to do anything for it.
Courtney Fenech is a hard working tennis player who is striving to reach all of her goals and dreams she has set out for. “One day of all my hardwork will pay off, I believe it.” Courtney juggles her tennis and school daily but in the end she believes all of her sacrifice will pay off. “Follow your dreams. Set your goals, and accomplish them. When you fall get up, because the process doesn’t wait for you to catch up it will keep on going, so pick yourself up.”
