If you don’t know who Mariah Carey is, it’s safe to say you’ve most likely been living under a rock for the past couple of decades. Even if you have been living under a rock it’s safe to say you’ve most likely heard her song “All I Want For Christmas Is You” at least once in your life, since its release she has been dubbed the Queen of Christmas. On October 9th Mariah first teased the Christmas-themed special when she tweeted a photo of three chairs, one having her initials, another having initials “AG”, and the third having the initials “JH” alongside a Christmas tree emoji as the caption. Many fans speculated that the AG and JH initials stood for Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. Mariah confirmed the rumors when she revealed that she will be doing a Christmas special titled “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special” which will be exclusively on Apple TV+. The single for the soundtrack will be “Oh Santa” with Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. The Christmas special features appearances from Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Misty Copeland, and The Peanuts Gang. The single and music video for “Oh Santa” will be released on December 4th, the soundtrack as a whole will also be released on December 4th exclusively on Apple Music. While you can only watch the special on Apple TV+, the soundtrack will be made available on all streaming platforms on December 11th.
