Oh, friendships…they are awesome! For the most part, at least. Sometimes people have trouble making friends, while others don’t. Many of my friends say I’m a very likable person, and I’m easy to get along with, which is great….but it would be boring if every single person was like me though, and that’s what makes us unique. 

We are our own individuals: sometimes we can’t stand certain people while we love others, and that’s just life. 

There are troubles that come with friendships, such as fighting and bullying. Sometimes, people act like they are going to be your friend but they really end up betraying you in the end. It feels so weird and awful to be betrayed, no matter who you are betrayed by or for what reason. I believe the world is a better place if we all get along, but not every person can be forgiven for their mistakes. We have all made mistakes that we regret, and I know I have.

For example, I had  a friend who started fighting with me and I chose to fight back. We are still friends, but unfortunately we just aren’t as close anymore. Another thing we must realize is that no person is perfect. You can’t try too hard to be someone who is  “Perfect” because they aren’t perfect either. The most important thing is to be yourself! If you aren’t yourself, then you usually stress and think,“I wonder if they like me…” 

There are advantages, too. I have a best friend and we talk all the time; she is always there for me no matter what. She likes me for who I am, and it’s important that I can be myself around her.

One more thing to remember is that if you are not true to yourself, then you may look like a totally different person. All together, I’d have to say, through the struggles and fights, the love and the hate, the apologies and the thanks, I think a friend is worth having, because they are truly a person that is there for you. That is what makes friendship so awesome: your friends are the people that believe in you. Friends believe the things you do and say, and will stand behind to support you no matter what. That’s why I love my friends, because they are there for me no matter what.
