Trevor Lawrence, who is projected as the #1 overall pick in all of my mock drafts

The NFL Draft is only five days away! This time of year is always stressful for teams and fans alike, especially for teams who are desperate to turn around their fortune with a top pick. Making the right decisions with the top picks can completely change the outlook of the franchise, while a wrong decision could prolong the drought of success for that team. Teams like the Jaguars and Jets are both feeling that heat as the 2021 NFL Draft draws closer, as they have experienced little success in recent years and hold the top two picks as a result. Teams like the 49ers, Dolphins, and Cowboys have all landed top ten picks(whether by trade or injuries in the 2020 season) and feel they are legitimate contenders. For those teams, this is not the stepping stone to a rebuild, but is being viewed as rather a stepping stone to championship contention. The different outlooks for each respective team is fascinating to look at, but the most fascinating part of this draft will be the debate that fans and media members alike always like to have: Do you draft the best player available talent-wise or draft a player that could better solve the team’s needs? It’s a tough question for teams to solve, as they don’t want to leave a potential generational talent on the board, but they also don’t want a major hole to reside in their roster.

In each of these drafts below, I try to solve that previously mentioned question for each and every team, as I attempt to make the best pick of the players available for each and every team. Teams trade up to land the man they want on their roster, while giving up future picks that could be a potential superstar.

I ran four mock drafts using www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com, each of which were two rounds in length. All four are listed below.
