The Big One in the Fred’s 250

Grant Enfinger got his first career win on Saturday at Talladega after getting a great push from teammate Ben Kennedy on the final restart to get to Victory Lane.  It was the first 1-2 finish ever for GMS Racing.  “It’s unbelievable,” Enfinger said.  “It’s my home track.  It’s just so special.”  The big one came on lap 59 of the 94 lap race, when Ben Rhodes got sent into the wall by Timothy Peters.  Rhodes came back down into the pack and clipped the 86 of Brandon Brown, sending Brown hard into the wall, and piled up a bunch of trucks.  “It’s just a shame that it ended that way,” said Rhodes, who was running in third at the time of the wreck.  “I just felt a huge shove from the rear and I had no way of controlling it.”  The round of 6 was set, with John Hunter Nemechek and Daniel Hemric being eliminated.  Here is the Chase standings.  The points were reset.
