There was some amazing racing in the lower tier series of NASCAR.  Here is a recap of those races.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was in Las Vegas on Saturday Night.  The race ended up being an amazing race.  Ryan Truex started on the pole.  On the first lap, Myatt Snider, driver of the #51 Toyota Tundra for KBM, took a spin into the inside wall and bounced off the wall and into the racing groove.  He was ok.  Chase Briscoe won stage 1, earning a valuable playoff point.  At the beginning of stage 2, Austin Cindric turned Johnny Sauter, and multiple trucks hit Sauter’s truck, including Kaz Grala.  Grala and Sauter were able to continue.  Ben Rhodes won stage 2.  Christopher Bell, who’s won a series leading 5 races this season, dominated stage 3 before a caution came out with 13 laps to go.  Ben Rhodes took it three-wide on the restart with 8 laps to go, and never looked back.  Bell stayed close to Rhodes, but couldn’t get by Rhodes.  The Ben Rhodes curse ended, as Rhodes took his first truck series win to advance in the playoffs.  When Rhodes was interviewed by FS1’s Hermie Sadler, Rhodes said, “ I have no idea. I used every play in my playbook. I knew if I could keep him close to me, he couldn’t break the bubble. And every time I would try to gap him and use a trick to get him far away, you know, he would suck right up to the 27 Safelite Tundra and just be right there on our bumper. So I had to keep him in distance and that was the most nervous thing I think I’ve ever done in my life.”
